Whiskey & Cigarettes: Kara Clark

I have been asked about influences many times and my response is always the same. It’s not necessarily the music (for me). It’s more complex than that, it’s a package which includes talent, originality, and attitude. Sometimes my influences aren’t even a part of my music collection at all but are definitely respected in my heart. I think a lot of artists and even fans get so caught up in a certain genre that it’s an automatic reaction to not open their ears to other styles and even go as far to criticize successful or struggling acts that are different from what they love.  Read More
